He was sent off last december at liverpool, however returned before xmas? He they was SO on NYD.

If he wants Christmas off he can tell the manager and he can have his private little holiday which may then last a little bit longer.

I never got that idea of getting yourself sent off deliberately so you can get Christmas off thing.
If he gets himself suspended make him come to the training pitch as usual and train and let him travel with the matchday squad, sitting on the bench or in the stands.

Why should he get time off from the club just because he fancies it over Christmas ?
